At 6-0, Team 1 Is In Control

    Marion First team 1 remained undefeated by beating Peace Community by a score of 61 - 50. Marion First Team 1 raced out to a 35 - 24 halftime lead and withstood a late rally by Peace in the closing moments to hold on for the win. .
    Mike Waddell led all scorers with 22 pts. and Matt Craycraft chipped in with 19. Tom Kenney scored 19 pts. and Matt Axline contributed 15 pts. in a losing effort.
    Marion First Team 1 now stands at 6 - 0 on the season and holds a slim one game advantage over Peace Community who dropped to 5 - 1 on the campaign.

    Marion First Team 2 dropped a hard fougt 64 - 55 decision to New Vision Community Church.
    Curtis Babb and Devin Severns both had 21 pts. in defeat. Brandon Pedraza led all scorers with a 25 pt. performance and Drew Johnson with 16 pts respectively in the win.
    Marion First Team 2 now stands at 1 - 5 on the season.
    Bragging rights will be at stake next Tuesday, as MFCN #1 and MFCN #2 will play each other 7:15 PM at Marca.
